Whispers of the Grass

Backlit golden wild grass swaying in an autumn field

In the autumn fields, the grass is the first to know. It needs no calendar; when the wind changes key, it raises its fine seed heads all at once — like countless pens dipped in light, writing words in the air that only the sky can read.

Backlit, every stem turns into a translucent thread of gold. The fuzzy seed heads wear a rim of soft glow, and when the wind passes, the whole sea of grass sways gently — as if the earth were breathing, slow and content.

We always praise the blooming of flowers, yet rarely notice the persistence of grass. Flowers fade, but grass returns year after year, quietly stitching barrenness into softness. Perhaps true vitality never makes a sound — it simply bows its head and grows, until one evening the light happens to find it.
